Overview[]
Hussars are the basic cavalry for most of the European civilizations. They have the most hit points of all basic cavalry, but otherwise lack distinguishing characteristics.
They are effective at raiding Settlers due to their speed and high damage, able to kill one in 5 hits. A raiding party of 10 is usually sufficient. Attack upgrades are not as useful as they do not reduce the integer number of hits required to secure a kill, but HP upgrades (such as for the British and French) are very useful. As with all units, be sure to queue one up as soon as the Stable finishes to start the training, adding more units as resources become available towards the completion of the group’s training.
Hussars, like all melee cavalry, are also effective against ranged infantry, which are too fragile to stand up to melee combat. Their speed helps in getting in close with early artillery. However, Hussars are weak against heavy infantry and light cavalry. Because Hussars are quite fast, it is often better to run away from groups of those units and work with nearby infantry so that each can cover for the other’s weakness.
However, while Hussars may be useful to fend off Skirmishers in the mid-game, Hussars tend not to be used in the late game as melee units are vastly easier to kill using superior numbers of ranged units, such as Dragoons or even massed Musketeers. They lack the HP of the Cuirassier without costing much less, nor gaining sufficient speed to make the Hussar comparatively useful. It is simply too easy to focus down Hussars with ranged units with a bonused-attack.
The Spanish can use unction to boost their Hussars in combat, providing a sizable damage increase.

Overview[]
The War Wagon functions as the German mounted counter-cavalry (light cavalry) unit. Just as expensive as the French Cuirassier, the War Wagon has strong single target ranged damage with medium range, longer than a Musketeer.
The War Wagon has a melee resistance multiplier that most other cavalry do not have. War Wagons enjoy the benefit of a 3x damage multiplier against cavalry, which allows them to shred cavalry intense armies with ease. Fully upgraded Imperial War Wagons can easily shred Imperial melee cavalry in 3-4 hits and take down Mamelukes and Imperial Gendarmes in 6-7 hits.
There are two unique traits that War Wagons have compared to other ranged cavalry. One is their unusually high health (an Imperial War Wagon has 900 hit points without any cards, while something like an Imperial Dragoon has half of that), which allows them to tank reasonably well against most sources of damage. Even though heavy infantry have bonus melee multipliers on them, the War Wagon’s high health and 20% melee resistance can reduce the damage they deal onto them. The other unique trait is their extremely high ranged damage and higher range. An Imperial War Wagon deals 79 ranged damage without any cards, and with all cards (not including Native technology as it is not present in all maps), deals 88 damage instead. This allows War Wagons to function as ranged infantry just as well without suffering from the low health they usually have, as their damage is similar to that of Imperial Skirmishers, who are good against heavy infantry.
However, the War Wagon moves slowly and has a low turn rate when compared to most ranged units, as it shoots off light cannons and not from pistols. This can make it rather hard to perform hit-and-run attacks with them. War Wagons are also expensive, costing 150 food and coin, in addition to occupying 3 population slots. This will severely limit the variety in the player’s armies if they train a large number of War Wagons for units to help defend them from enemy rushes. However, they are still good units to be shipped from the Home City to offset their high costs.
With all hit point improvement upgrades (Comanche) and cards (Indian and Russian allies), the Imperial War Wagon is the ranged cavalry with the second highest hit points, 1,175 which is next to Exalted Howdahs.
Upgrades
The War Wagon starts at the Veteran level by default, they can be only upgraded to Guard and Imperial.
If they are made available in the Commerce Age with the «TEAM Early Dragoons» Home City Card, War Wagons will be automatically upgraded to Veteran once the player reaches the Fortress Age.
Age | Upgrade | Cost | Effect |
---|---|---|---|
Guard War Wagons | 600 wood,600 coin | Upgrades War Wagons to Guard (+30% hit points and attack) | |
Imperial War Wagons | 1,500 wood,1,500 coin | Upgrades War Wagons to Imperial (+50% hit points and attack); requires Guard War Wagons |
Overview[]
Although it does not have the economic prowess of some of its European counterparts, the United States is a powerful civilization with heavy emphasis on combat. A major asset of the United States is that the civilization makes use of a wide variety of ranged gunpowder units that can inflict greater damage and even outrange other units with the proper upgrades. However, a downside of the United States’ units is their emphasis of attack damage over health, such as the State Militia or the Sharpshooter, which can be problematic if swarmed by fast melee or artillery units.
One of the advantages of the United States is their ability to utilize Federal Cards. Rather than using the the Politician system like its European counterparts, United States players will instead pick a Federal State that grants not just resources, units or technologies, but two unique Federal cards, reflective of the particular Federal state. The cards will be added to the Home City deck, and cannot be found when building the Home City deck prior to the game. Because of the Federal Cards system, the United States has a notably smaller deck compared to other civilizations, as players can only pick up to 20 cards as opposed to the usual 25.
The United States also have access to Immigrant cards, which grant bonuses and economic units/resources reflective of the civilizations the cards «borrow» from, as well as Legion cards which ship powerful military units and make them trainable at Forts. These cards function similar to the Consulate units and bonuses gained by the Asian civilizations.
Unlike other civilizations, the United States has the General unit, a powerful and heartier Explorer that can be used to create Trading Posts and Forts, with the drawback of being denied the capability of constructing Town Centers. It has a unique ability to plant an Inspiring Flag that makes military units perform better in combat, and makes buildings construct and train units faster.
The United States cannot revolt like European civlizations, but can access something similar to it by aging with the California federal state to the Industrial Age and shipping the Bear Flag Revolt federal card. Otherwise, it will only be given the opportunity to advance to the Imperial Age.

forgotten empires
Global No Rush

- Открыть «Проводник»;
- Правой кнопкой нажать на «Этот компьютер» (или «Мой компьютер»);
- В контекстном меню кликнуть на «Свойства»;
- В открывшемся окне слева нажать на «Дополнительные параметры системы»;
- В открывшемся окне перейти на вкладку «Дополнительно»;
- В разделе «Быстродействие» нажать на кнопку «Параметры…»;
- В открывшемся окне перейти на вкладку «Дополнительно»;
- Снять флажок с параметра «Автоматически выбирать объем файла подкачки» (если есть);
- Поставить флажок напротив опции «Указать размер»;

History[]
“ | The fall of India’s mighty Mughal Empire coincides with the rise of British rule in the subcontinent, occurring in the 18th century; yet even as the British established control, their arrival was little more than the last blow to an already struggling native dynasty. The Mughal Empire, bastion of high culture, geographic expansion, and military might, had fallen.The Mughal Empire has its origins in neighboring Afghanistan and Turkestan, where descendents of the Mongol Empire had become Muslims and where the Muslim ruler Babur began forming the foundations of a new kingdom in 1504 with the seizure of Kabul, and territories leading east into the Indus River Valley. In 1526, he pushed further into India and defeated the last of the Delhi Sultans, Ibrahim Shah Lodi, at the First Battle of Panipat. Babur’s son Humayun succeeded him in 1530, but quickly lost most of the newly won territory. For a time he ruled in exile, but eventually raised an army large enough to march back to Delhi in 1555 and conquer it a second time.Next in the line of succession was Humayun’s son Akbar, who succeeded his father on 14 February 1556, while in the midst of a war against Sikandar Shah for the reclamation of the Mughal throne. Akbar won his first victory at the age of 13 or 14, and quickly established himself as a confident ruler who had a vision for the future of his empire. He created fair taxes, built an efficient government, placed an emphasis on high culture, and encouraged radical religious tolerance. Because of his contributions, Akbar is considered the greatest of the Mughal rulers.The Mughal Empire only lasted for another one hundred years. Its last great ruler was Aurangzeb Alangir, a zealous Muslim who abandoned the tolerance of his predecessors and began to crack down on other faiths, especially the Hindus. During his fifty-year reign, religious prejudice drove a wedge between the ruler and his subjects. Aurang’s intentions were to force the Hindus to convert. Temples were despoiled and a tax for non-Muslims was introduced.Following Aurang, the Mughal Empire suffered from a lack of powerful authority, causing regional nawabs, or governors, to split and found their own kingdoms, such as the Marathas in the south and the Sikhs in the north. The next 27 years of the Mughal Empire were spent in clashes with its neighbors, and in 1739, invading Persian and Afghan armies invaded Delhi.The greatest empire in India had crumbled and individual kingdoms rushed to gobble up the pieces. The stage was set for the British, who would overpower the smaller weakened kingdoms and in doing so would gain control the country. | ” |

Overview[]
An archaic unit, the Pikeman has low attack and three main advantages: high siege damage, high speed, and large multipliers against cavalry. While they are not suited to fighting any other units except cavalry, they are effective at supporting other units who are harassing the enemy. This is mainly by threatening their key buildings such as their military production. If they are engaged by infantry at all, their best move is to simply run out of range, thanks to their high speed. For example, Pikemen themselves should not be engaging Settlers/Villagers because Settlers actually have higher melee damage and can actually defeat the Pikemen in a duel. Despite having more speed than most infantry, they are not fast enough to pursue cavalry and are better used defensively to respond against cavalry attacks, rather than chasing them.
Pikemen are usually created in small numbers and rarely created outside of the Commerce Age. This is for multiple reasons: firstly, while the Pikeman is 20% cheaper in raw resources than a Musketeer, it costs wood, which is slower to chop. Secondly, the other anti-cavalry units (Musketeers and Dragoons) are vastly more versatile unit options because they can engage other units than cavalry without requiring overwhelming numbers. Thirdly, army sizes increase to the point that dedicated siege warriors are no longer necessary to threaten buildings. Fourthly, the other units can be further upgraded to stay useful in later ages, whereas archaic units largely cannot be upgraded. In short, other infantry units replace its siege role while also having melee capabilities, while ranged cavalry replaces its ability to quickly fend off cavalry attacks, and while they can’t fulfill an identical role to the Pikemen, overall these units are a better replacement.
They can be defeated by most other units, but are particularly countered by ranged infantry and artillery. In the Commerce Age, they are useful for destroying buildings, since most civilizations lack artillery at that stage. Pikemen are useful as a front line defense for ranged units to position behind. Using them with Crossbowman is an effective combo early in the game, as they can take out infantry at long range while the Pikemen defeat any cavalry that get too close.
Spanish players have the option of being able to almost instantly (2.7 seconds) train Crossbowmen and Pikemen in the Commerce Age, due to the «TEAM Archaic Soldier Training» and «Fencing School» Home City Cards. If Standing Army from the Church is used, Pikemen and Crossbowmen can be created instantly.
In the Definitive Edition, The Papal Guard politician upgrades the Pikemen into the Guard level for free and allows them to be upgraded to Imperial. This opens some new strategies for the five aforementioned European civilizations. A French player, for example, should consider Pikemen as a faster and cheaper alternative to Halberdiers if they just serve to protect artillery/Skirmishers from melee cavalry or boost anti-building damage of the player’s own cavalry. All civilizations in question, except for the Swedes, can do the same with their Crossbowmen, which allows the player to keep using the archaic combo into the late game. Keep in mind that gather rates for wood and infinite coin are equal (when equally upgraded) and Skirmishers have better multipliers agains heavy infantry, so this strategy is best if the player a) already has a big stockpile of food and wood, but lacks coin (most likely to be the case immediately after reaching the Industrial Age), b) really likes investing coin into expensive artillery or c) has access to additional upgrades for either archaic infantry in general or archers in particular, be it through native civilizations or TEAM cards.

Overview[]
Crossbowmen are ranged infantry units that use crossbows in battle. They are counter infantry units that are useful for attacking heavy infantry such as Musketeers, but are easily defeated by melee cavalry and artillery. They are similar in many ways to Skirmishers. Although the Crossbowmen might be out-ranged by their Skirmisher counterparts, they are cheaper and are trainable earlier in the game. The exceptions to this rule reside in the Dutch who can train Skirmishers in the Commerce Age and the French through the use of the «TEAM Early Skirmishers» Home City Card which allows them and their allies to train Skirmishers in the Commerce Age.
Spanish players have the option of being able to almost instantly train (2.7 seconds) Crossbowmen and Pikemen in the Commerce Age, due to the «TEAM Archaic Soldier Training» and «Fencing School» cards, and can train instantly if the cards are also used with the Standing Army improvement.

Overview[]
A Barbary Corsair, one of the mercenaries in Age of Empires III
Mercenaries only cost coin, but are more expensive (~100 coin for each unit, 1,000 coin for Fortress Age shipments of a large squad and 2,000 coin for Industrial Age shipments of small armies of varied units) and uses up slightly more population than their regular unit counterparts. The types of mercenaries available at the Tavern, Saloon or Monastery depends on the map.
Although not technically a mercenary, the technologies provided by the «improved Church» cards function similarly to mercenaries, such as Kalmucks for the Russians and Imperial Young Guard for the French, as the player pays a high amount of resources and can only research them once, although this doesn’t use up any of their Home City shipments.
Since the Definitive Edition, the British, Dutch, Ottomans, Portuguese, and Swedes can choose The Mercenary Contractor to advance into the Fortress Age, which allows the Tavern to train certain mercenaries regardless of the map.
Age of Empires 3
- Скачать драйвер для видеокарт от Nvidia;
- NVIDIA Inspector для видеокарт от Nvidia;
В случае с NVIDIA Inspector нужно запускать файл nvidiaProfileInspector.exe, а не nvidiaInspector.exe.
- Texture filtering — LOD bias;
- Antialiasing — Transparency Supersampling.

- Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings (1999).
- Age of Mythology (2002).
- Age of Empires III (2005).
- Age of Empires IV.
