Суть генерации[]

Она заключается в следующем: мир создается вместе с картой тепла. Это значит, что в мире теперь есть различные зоны температуры и влажности. Другими словами, всё как на нашей планете Земля, генерируемый мир разделяется на климаты. Единственное отличие это некая скрутка, ибо мир в майнкрафте остается таким же плоским и бесконечным.

Простой пример: вам необходимо найти пустыню. Логично предположить, что она находится в жарком климате. Если вы можете определить, что вы находитесь в умеренном климате (лиственные леса и равнины), то вам надо идти на юг. Первое время в нулевой Эре в таких случаях гораздо проще ориентироваться по древнему Атласу.

Materials[]

Steeleaf is a very useful material introduced in this age, because it can be used with Tinker’s Construct items to quickly replenish their durability. Of course, the main materials introduced in this age are the ores gold, iron, lapis, and rock crystal. The rock crystals are extremely useful for crafting in Astral Sorcery, partially for the recipes including them but also for the liquid starlight they produce in a lightwell (they can produce much more than aquamarine — despite what JEI may say). Gold is most useful for making Tinker’s casts and buying things in the market. Iron is useful for making stronger items, as well as star metal ore. Lapis is useful for luck on pickaxes, nocturnal powder, and a few other small recipes.

Stardust is another important material in this age — and it is accessible through two recipes! — either by starlight infusion in the Astral Sorcery multi block structure, or by crafting it in a hellfire forge. Options!

Additionally, the middle ore gems from the Betweenlands are used for creating more complex Tinkers devices, and octine ingots are used for creating pistons (if you can’t find any!).

JourneyMap Token Recipe

Journey Map

A fair warning that the JourneyMap Token is extremely resource intensive. It requires the completion of all of the Twilight forest to obtain the Lamp of Cinders, as well as Charms of Keeping, which can only be found in Twilight Forest dungeon chests. The Ring of Ascent is only found in loot chests in the Betweenlands. If you’re able to collect these pieces, the rest of the token should be easy peasy. Unlocking Journey Map will transfer all your location markers from the antique atlas, as well as reveal all the area you have ever visited prior to this point.

If you do not eat a JourneyMap Token in age 2 (medieval) or 3 (industrial), you will unlock advanced mapping automatically in age 4, the Modern Age. However, this will not count towards completion of the advancement (sorry, completionists).

Materials[]

The industrial age revolves around your ability to build large immersive engineering machinery, and eventually produce plastic.

Aluminium, cobalt, lead, nickel, platinum, and silver ore begin to appear in the world.

Aluminium brass, constantan, electrum, enhanced galgadorian, galgadorian, invar, modularium, pigiron, redstone alloy, reinforced metal, and steel become craftable in this age.

It is recommended that you produce steel whenever you are able as you are simply going to need so much of it. An Arc Furnace can aid in this, but is likely too expensive to be worth it at this point.

The uncrafting table requires 6 blast brick, 2 crafting stations, and a maze map focus

The Uncrafting Table

At this point in the game, you will be able to craft blast bricks. It is highly recommended you use your first 6 bricks to create an Uncrafting Table as they will be easily recoverable as explained below.

This wonderful device will allow you to reverse almost all recipes to their original form for the cost of some XP. After having created it, you can then take nether brick blocks from the Fortress and uncraft them down into bricks, thus saving you from needing the entire hibachi process in the future. Pretty nifty, huh. This can come in handy for many many other things, so it’s quite recommended to have one.

The only downside to obtaining this is it requires an extra maze map focus, so whether you want to get this is up to you.

Materials required for the Beneath Teleporter ritual.[]

You will need several mod-specific materials for the ritual, covered below.

A. The Blank Teleporter — a multi-step process. You will need two (2) black dye powder, one (1) coralium pearl, one (1) block of copper, one (1) block of bronze, one (1) block of tin, two (2) blocks of coal, and an Apprentice Blood Orb from the Blood Magic mod.

- The two black dye powder can be obtained either by grinding two black flowers (it's generally easy to find the Black Lotus flower in the overworld), or by grinding two ink sacs, which can be obtained from squid. There are other options, but these are the easiest. They can be ground in either the mill stone or the grindstone. 
- The coralium pearl can be obtained in the same way that you obtained one for the Energy Pedestal, if you don't already have one previously prepared.
- Simply melt copper and tin ore in the Melter and then pour them out (using a drain) into a casting basin to make copper and tin blocks, respectively.
- For the bronze block, you will have to create at least 12 bronze ingots in the alloy kiln (since the kiln creates them in groups of 4), and then insert 9 of the bronze ingots into the Melter, from where you can pour the molten bronze into a casting basin to create a bronze block. 
- The two blocks of coal are created by compressing 18 coal into blocks using the Horse Power press. 
- The apprentice blood orb is a bit more involved. It will require you to build a minimum of a Tier 2 Blood Altar from the Blood Magic mod. This will require a Blood Altar block (found in JEI), a Sacrificial Dagger, and at least eight (8) Blank Runes. More on this later (see the section titled "Blood Magic how-to" below). 

B. Four (4) monolith stone. Remember how you went to a shoggoth lair previously, and it was made of that green monolith stone, and you used some in the Energy Pedestal recipe? Well, hopefully you kept a little bit more, because you will need four more of it for the ritual. If not, get hiking and get yourself a few more monolith stone.

C. Gunpowder. Hopefully you know how to get this. If not, then…it’s questionable why you’re playing an expert-style modpack. Just kill some creepers for it. Protip: you can build an ocelot totem from the Totemic mod to prevent creepers from exploding within its 6-block radius. It’s great.

D. Coal dust. Make it the same way that you made it for the Flame Grilled Wopper, using either coal or charcoal.

E. A Dark Oak Fence Gate. The ritual will ONLY accept a Dark Oak fence gate.

F. Demonic will. You will need at least two of these for the Beneath Teleporter, since one is used in the creation of the apprentice blood orb. A brief explanation of blood magic will follow.

Mobs[]

The only new mobs encountered are those in space: Evolved creepers, skeletons, zombies, witches, and endermen. Beware lightning storms on Jupiter as they will create many very strong evolved witches. All mobs now have a 50% chance to spawn with a diamond sword and 50% odds of any amount of diamond armour. Boss mobs will also be encountered in all the planetary dungeons. These are:

All the dungeon boss mobs can be avoided through use of the Scamulator, an ore/block from the respective planet and cheese from the moon to create the next schematic.

Blood Magic How-To — A Brief Description of Blood Magic Basics.[]

First off, there is already plenty of information about Blood Magic online, as well as an in-game book that gives limited information (the «Sanguine Scientiem»). However, a brief description of how to get started will be included here. There are a few steps:

1. The most important part of getting started with Blood Magic is the crafting of a Blood Altar. The blood altar, in turn, requires an item known as Demonic Will. Demonic will is acquired from killing hostile mobs when they have been inflicted with a Blood Magic-specific effect. In order to inflict this effect, you will have to craft an item known as the Rudimentary Snare. These snares are crafted in batches of four (4), and require four (4) string, four (4) tin ingots, and one (1) ash. You can get string from cotton or spiders, you should already have tin ingots, and ash is obtained from placing a log (not a plank, a log) on a stone grill (not in the clay kiln).

- Now that you have some rudimentary snares (make at least 16 for safety), you're ready to get demonic will. Get a weapon and put your snares on your hotbar. When you find a hostile enemy (zombies work well for this), right-click to fire the snare at them until you see them emitting white, potion-like particles. This indicates that they are under the Blood Magic-specific effect and can drop demonic will upon death. Once they are emitting the particles, kill them, and they should drop demonic will. Do this until you have at least two demonic will, with more being helpful in the future. 

2. Now that you have demonic will, you can craft the blood altar. See the recipe in JEI for crafting help.

3. Once the blood altar has been crafted, get some stone (not cobblestone — you want normal stone) and a sacrificial dagger, then place the blood altar somewhere. You will now have to use the sacrificial dagger to bleed into the blood altar in order to make Blank Slates and Blood Orbs. Right-click to put blood into the blood altar while standing very close (each heart of damage is valued at 200 blood in the blood altar, and make sure not to kill yourself. Aside from the obvious, dying will inflict the «Soul Fray» effect, which dramatically reduces the amount of blood you get from 200 blood per heart to something like 10 blood per heart. This is to prevent people from death-abusing.

- Each blank slate requires 1000 blood in the blood altar at the time when you insert the stone. It is important that you have all of the required blood in the blood altar before placing the stone, as the stone will regress if it runs out of blood to absorb partway through transmutation. If you want to have a clearer idea of how much blood is in the altar, and what tier your altar is, you can make a "Divination Sigil". For the blank runes, however, you only need 16 blank slates.
- You will also need a Weak Blood Orb in order to make the blank slates. This is created by placing a ball of Coagulated Blood in the blood altar while the altar has at least 2000 life points worth of blood in it (10 hearts worth). You can obtain a ball of coagulated blood by melting four (4) rotten flesh in the Melter, then pouring it out onto a bare Casting Table (no cast, just the table). 

Once you have all of the blank slates and the weak blood orb, you can craft the eight (8) required blank runes that you need for the tier 2 blood altar. After the runes have been crafted, simply dig out the eight blocks around the base of the blood altar and replace it with the blank runes. See other online guides with pictures for more detailed info on the required layout.

Now that you have a tier 2 blood altar, all that you need to do is make an Apprentice blood orb. This is the next tier of blood orb, one step up from the weak blood orb. For this, simply place (yet another) coralium pearl in the tier 2 altar while the altar has at least 5000 (25 hearts) worth of life points in blood in it. As soon as it has absorbed enough blood, you will have the apprentice blood orb!

You now have all of the required ingredients to craft a blank teleporter, so go ahead and do that to obtain the last item you need for the Beneath teleporter!

Игровой процесс

Вначале перед игроком появляется девственно чистый мир. У него в инвентаре пара примитивных орудий и рецептов (как «вчерашняя обезьяна» понимает, что там изображено, не совсем понятно). В процессе добычи простейших ресурсов и превращения полена с камнем в секиру, персонаж начинает развиваться, а мир – становиться разнообразнее. У первого появляются и прокачиваются новые навыки, умения, второй – наполняется разнообразными блоками, предметами, обитателями и ландшафтами.

Часть непонятных вещей, собранных в эпоху огня и меча, становится доступной после перехода в следующие эры. В игре полно динамических предметов и вещей, появление которых зависит от уровня развития персонажа. Мобы появляются также соответствующие уровню героя.

Совместное прохождение

Возможности SevTech: Ages доступны и для совместного прохождения. Разработчики постарались, чтобы все игроки ставились в одинаковые условия, даже если один начинает позже других. Модификация «Вместе всегда» синхронизирует геймплей, позволяет формировать сообщества для ускорения прогресса каждого его члена.

Варианты сборок

Мод SevTech: Ages выпускается в трёх вариантах:

  1. Оригинальная сборка – со встроенным лаунчером и Java – не требует установки данной библиотеки.
  2. Облегчённая или оптимизированная – нацелена на слабые компьютеры. Из неё удалены улучшающие картинку моды, не оказывающие влияния на игровой процесс и миры. Конфигурация многих модов адаптирована под старые компьютеры.
  3. Улучшенная – сборка для мощных систем с прекрасной графикой, шейдерами и реалистичным звуковым сопровождением.

Без проблем для понимания

Все модификации переведены на русский язык. Кроме названий предметов и рецептов авторы локализовали вступления, оповещения и содержание большинства книг.

The Twilight Forest[]

Carminite Acclimation and Hydra Slayer are technically the only two required advancements, since you only need Steeleaf, Fiery Tears, Ghast Tears, and a Carminite Reactor from the Twilight Forest. Since you’re here, you may as well complete some of the others to aid you, but none of the others are actually required.

The Twilight Forest has many optional advancements and loads of food available!

Игрок в начале игры всегда будет появляться в тёплом биоме среднего уровня влажности. Для удобства разработчики в официальной вики составили таблицу температур и влаги.

Materials[]

Diamond and Emerald become available in this stage, as well as Uranium and Osmium in the Overworld. Dimensional Shard Ore becomes available in the Nether. The easiest known method for finding diamond is to explore a desert with a slime sling and a Traveller’s Cloak of Slow Falling. If you have a stable source of energy at this point, you can construct an Environmental Tech void ore miner with an appropriate lens to drastically speed up collection of any rare ore. In fact, it is not necessary to find emerald to do this. Osmium is highly useful for it’s purposes in Mekanism tech, and is easily found while searching for diamond. Uranium currently has no known use.

Each planet will also have it’s own resources available for collection, which are necessary to build the next tier of rocket. A deconstructor is recommended to at least salvage some of your parts from a previous rocket.

The asteroids are the big difference here in that they aren’t one specific planet but a large space of asteroids. Each large asteroid may (not guaranteed) have a large cluster of ore in the middle of it: to progress you will need to find one of these with Titanium ore. Good luck. While you’re at it, try to find a diamond asteroid to solve your diamond use for good.

When you finally make it all the way to Saturn, collect some green looking surface rocks (which is actually slime ore) using a silk touch pickaxe and blast it in an atomic reconstructor to get inferium. 8 of these will do nicely. Throw these in a cloche and start pumping out tons of inferium — you’ll need it later. After you make it all the way to Neptune, grab some zinc ore and use an empowerer to make some prosperity shards. A stack of the Neptune Zinc is advisable. Now you can start on mystical agriculture!
