Dec 10, 2021 — Security vulnerability in Minecraft

As you may or may not be aware, there was recently a security vulnerability exposed within Minecraft through the Log4J library that is included and used by Minecraft versions 1.7 and later.
Mojang have already released a fix for the issue.
ATLauncher has released 2 updates to also address this issue. The first was to introduce a command line argument to prevent the exploit from happening. This is only effective in 1.17 and above. The second update (3.4.10.7) to make sure that on launch of your instances, the latest manifest is downloaded from Mojang and their fix applied to your instance before launching.
To make sure you have the latest version of ATLauncher, make sure to restart the launcher or use the Update Data button in the bottom left of the launcher to get any new updates for the launcher.
The best solution to make sure you stay safe is to update any instances that have them available or if you’re using a vanilla instance with Fabric or Forge, you can make sure to update your Fabric/Forge version to the latest.
It’s also important to note that these fixes will only apply to instances. Any servers created and run through the launcher may not be safe to run and you should check this page for a way to fix your server. Again the best thing is to make sure you keep your Fabric/Forge version up to date if you use it.

Jan 9, 2021 — Update 3.4.2.0

Version 3.4.2.0 of ATLauncher has just been released.
This version contains many bug fixes, but also contains a few new features, and upgrades to existing features.
First we now support the installation of modpacks from the modpacks.ch platform (aka FTB modpacks). Alongside this we’ve added in a simple browser for searching and finding modpacks on CurseForge, making to process of adding packs from other platforms super easy.
Along with that, we’ve made updating and reinstalling packs installed from CurseForge possible. Now when an update is found for an installed pack from CurseForge, you will now get an alert when launching, and in the instances tab, when there is an update to install. If you don’t see the option to update or reinstall an existing pack installed from CurseForge, you may need to install the pack again using for it to start to work.
Next we’ve added the ability to import packs exported from MultiMC. So if you have friends using MultiMC or a pack has the option to download a MultiMC formatted zip file, you can now import that into ATLauncher to play and use.
Lastly, we’ve added the ability to import packs made with ATLauncher (or CurseForge or MultiMC) with a url. So you can host your exported instance somewhere on the internet (such as dropbox) and simply give that url to your friends to put into the launcher, rather than sharing a zip file.

What are the best launchers of Minecraft No Premium (2021)?

There have been several programs to start Minecraft and play it with extras and more complete options, since its launch, some have been left behind, others have followed, and others are starting to be known among the Craftera community. There’s no doubt that we’re the ones who win, who use and stop using it, but it’s also true that we’re always looking for the best configuration, the best performance, the best features and options to enjoy Minecraft at all levels.

That’s why we have compiled in one website all the analysis and tutorials with the experiences we have from the different launchers. If we had to order from the best to the worst, taking into account features, options, complexity of use and other factors, we believe that a list could be the next one:

TLauncher

Above all appears TLauncher, the launcher for Minecraft perhaps most used in the community, for its great features it offers, the ability to configure mods, skins and play old versions. Within the program we can see on the home screen, all the updates that Minecraft had ordered by versions, each with a link to the detail of the changes of the version.

Within the official site we also have a PREMIUM option that allows us to have access to e.g. animated layers. And although we do not subscribe to the paid service, we also have free access to download different layers, skins, incredible mods and all of them for free. For all this, it is the number 1 so far.

Launcher Fénix

Another famous launcher is the Fenix, some look for them as “YoFenix”, the truth is that “YoFenix” is the name of the site administrator and perhaps the creator of the program. This beloved launcher also allows us to configure our game a lot, and also has the possibility of installing layers, skins and mods. It offers 3 access modes that we explain in the article, but basically you can access it in a premium, non premium way and with a LauncherFénix user.

From the same official website we can become a user and configure our character. Widely used and downloaded within the Crafteros, especially the Latin community, Mexico, Argentina, Latinos in the United States, Rest of Latin America and Spain.

Within the website there are a lot of mods to download, both as skins and layers. The launcher works very well, has constant maintenance and can be installed on both Mac and PC.

Launcherfenix

Shiginima

The Shiginima was formerly known as KeiNett Launcher, it can be installed on both Mac and PC. It is also possible to play older versions from 1.0 to the latest possible, also alpha and beta and snapshot versions.

It is a very good pitcher although simple and with few options available. You can change the language, and not much else so far. That’s why it’s ranked number 3 for us.

Titan (ex Team Xtreme)

Titan or Team Xtreme is a small and very lightweight launcher, for those who do not need any extra options or settings. It is very light and portable. A good option for minimalists.

SKLauncher

The SKlauncher is a small but powerful launcher for Minecraft that among other things allows to have different profiles, increase RAM memory and change JVM parameters. Available in a large number of languages, such as Spanish, English, Chinese, Polish, Russian, German and more.

How do make your Minecraft portable, if you already have a
directory, skip to step 4:

Start the official launcher, download the binaries
Launch Minecraft one time to create the data directory and necessary files
Exit Minecraft
Copy the directory to
Rename it to something more meaningful

Notes on the parameters

—additional-jar=JAR

This will allow you to load other jars into memory. Please be aware that this
does nothing but load the jars so that they’re available via reflection. There
are some mods which need external jars or the official launcher…you can
specify them with this.

Dec 16, 2020 — Microsoft accounts now supported

Update 3.4.1.0 for ATLauncher has just been released. This includes initial support for Microsoft accounts for Minecraft. Please note that you still need to own the Java edition of Minecraft and not the one in the Microsoft store.
While migrations haven’t yet started for existing Mojang accounts, new purchases of Minecraft are required to use a Microsoft account.
These new Microsoft accounts are now supported in ATLauncher and you can continue to play even if you have one of the new Microsoft accounts.
Please be aware that this is an initial implementation, if you notice any issues or something goes wrong, please let us know on our Discord so we can fix them up.

Nov 7, 2021 — Update 3.4.9.0 — Technic and Xbox Game Pass Support

Hello,
ATLauncher has just updated to version 3.4.9.0 which includes various bug fixes and tweaks, but brings in a couple notable new features.
First is Technic support. Now you can install and play modpacks from the Technic platform. This includes support for updating, taking backups as well as adding mods from sources like CurseForge and Modrinth easily from within the launcher.
While we’ve done our best to make sure most modpacks work as expected, if you notice any issues, please reach out in our Discord server.
We’ve also added in support for being able to login and play for people who have Xbox Game Pass. If you have Xbox Game Pass and want to login to ATLauncher, you’ll need to make sure you login via the Minecraft Launcher once in order to setup your Minecraft profile before being able to login to ATLauncher.

Oct 31, 2020 — Update 3.4.0.0

Version 3.4.0.0 of ATLauncher has just released which includes many bug fixes as well as a couple new features.
First is the new Export/Import feature which allows you to export your Vanilla Minecraft With Fabric and Vanilla Minecraft With Forge modpacks that you create within the launcher and create a CurseForge/Twitch compatible zip file.
This allows you to then give that zip file to a friend and allow them to import it to ATLauncher as if it was a CurseForge modpack. You can also take this zip file, and import it into the Twitch client or submit it to CurseForge as a modpack.
Second new feature is better theming support and multiple new themes out of the box. ATLauncher now has a new look, including multiple different themes. While the look and feel is very similar, it’s now more rounded, modern and consistent, with extra attention to detail put in to make sure screens are laid out correctly.
Lastly we’ve sped up the launcher so that it loads much quicker when opening it after the first time. This means you can get to playing even quicker than before.

TLauncher

Если вы не нашли желаемое дополнение в TLauncher, его можно добавить вручную.

Для установки своих модификаций кликните на кнопку «TL MODS», затем – на значок отвертки с ключом в верхнем левом углу программы. Далее нажмите последовательно «Ручная настройка» – «Моды» – «Выбрать файлы» (загрузите с ПК) – «Установить».

ATLauncher

Известный лучший лаунчер. Через него можно устанавливать на Майнкрафт 200 или 500 модов, и все они будут действовать. Для скачивания ATLauncher перейдите на его страницу на нашем сайте.

Как добавить модификации:

После запуска exe-файла и установки оставляем язык клиента английским. Не рекомендуется выбирать русский из-за многочисленных ошибок перевода.
Регистрируемся, входим в аккаунт, получаем доступ ко всем функциям клиента.
Переходим в раздел Packs, выбираем понравившийся модпак. Нажимаем New Instance, пак будет добавлен в игру.

How many Launchers for Minecraft are there?

Minecraft users and enthusiasts have designed different options to be able to play by starting other launchers called NO PREMIUM, which allow to extend the options, adding mods, layers, textures, plugins, and different types of enhancements, such as chats between users, or online stores, all referring to Minecraft of course. Then these alternative launchers extend the initial functionality of the game to enjoy other levels of configuration. They also offer different servers for example.

The Minecraft community is very large and you can find several options that help us enjoy the game, even if we have the premium version purchased and downloaded. In this website we will go deeper into all the available launchers and each of the features offered by each of them.

In addition, the idea is to help each other to clear up all the doubts among users, since many times we have questions about how to download, how to install, how to use a mod, and hundreds of doubts that appear when we want to start playing or when we already have time with Minecraft but anyway we always have some new question.

Как установить моды Minecraft на лаунчер?

Стандартные программы для запуска Майна предусматривают один способ установки дополнений. Для этого выполните пошагово действия:

Выберите в лаунчере версию Forge и закройте его.
Убедитесь, что версия игры и модификации совпадают.
Скачайте желаемый мод или сборку на компьютер, сохранив куда угодно.
Откройте на ПК папку .minecraft и распакуйте в поддиректорию Mods скачанный архив или перенесите файл, если он один.
Если в папке Mods есть папка с названием вашей версии Майнкрафт, переложите мод в нее.
Перезапустите лаунчер и можете включаться в игру.
