Mods for Conan Exiles[]

The mod DevKit is a work in progress and there are many rough edges still. (This also goes for the documentation!) Some things to be aware of:

• You have to restart it when you want to work on a new mod. (This might not get fixed any time soon, since flushing / reloading assets seems problematic.)
• Renaming mods is not trivial, so choose good unique names.
• The feedback for users when joining a server that has mods is very bare bones right now. It currently requires people to look for the mods manually, but this will be improved.

We will be focusing on fixing these issues and generally improving the modding experience over the coming weeks. Thanks for your patience!

Mods — Short Version

A mod in Conan Exiles is a single .pak (archive) file containing modified versions of game assets and optionally new assets.

To create mods, get the DevKit from the Epic Games Launcher, do your changes and build the mod to generate a mod file. You can either distribute the mod through the Steam Workshop by uploading it from the DevKit, or simply share the file with your friends directly.

Installing Mods

The easiest way to install mods is to subscribe to them on the Steam Workshop. Once they are downloaded you can find them in the «Mods» menu from the Main Menu in-game. You can also use mods that you get outside of the Steam Workshop — put the mod .pak file in «» and it will be available in the in-game mods menu.

Note: You have to restart the game before changes to the selected mod list has any effect. The ingame gui doesn’t make this very clear right now.

Downloading Mods

Downloading mods may be done either automatically or manually.

Automatic Downloading of Mods

The simple version: Automatic downloading of mods allows you to join a server without having to find and subscribe to every mod first.

The full explanation: When you join a modded server without having subscribed to their mods first, the game will give you a list of which mods you are not subscribed to with an option at the bottom to download and enable all missing mods. Bear in mind doing so will require the game to restart and the game takes a long time to start up if you’re using a lot of mods.

Non-Steam mods are shown in the list, but you will have to get their correct version manually.

There are also two checkboxes, one to automatically subscribe to / update mods when needed and one to automatically connect when ready. These may be changed from Settings > Gameplay:

Manual Downloading of Mods

Clientside: To join a server with mods, you must first have the same mods the server is running, with the same load order. When joining a server, you will get a message box telling you which mods you are missing. You cannot connect to the server unless you have those mods installed and activated.

Serverside: To start a server with mods, you put the mod files () in «» and add a text file with the file names of those .pak files, one per line, like this:

Instead of creating manually you can also select the mods you want in your game client, then copy the file from «» to «». When clients try to connect to the server, the game will first check to make sure the clients have the same mods as the server selected. If they don’t they won’t be able to connect.

Mod compatibility

Mod compatibility depends on the nature of code changes done in patches. Players and server admins who use mods may experience compatibility issues when trying to play the game immediately after a new patch. These can be anything from not being able to access a chosen server to placeables disappearing and the game crashing on start-up. It could even result in world corruption! To be safe, don’t launch your server until you’ve updated every mod possible and/or tried them in singleplayer, where it’s not so much of an issue if the world gets corrupted.

To fix these compatibility issues the developers have to release a new DevKit so the mod creators can update their mods. They try to have a new DevKit ready as quickly as they can after rolling out a patch and they are usually able to release it no later than 24 hours after the patch came out. Having a DevKit ready when a patch is fresh causes less downtime for modded servers and players.

Since the developers cannot always guarantee that existing mods will be compatible with a new version of the game, they are recommending that you disable mods if you encounter an issue right after a patch has gone out. That way you can confirm that an issue is caused by an incompatible mod or if it is a bug that they have to patch.

Building, items, and customization mods

The below mods are for those who want to make changes to the game’s building and crafting mechanics. We’ve also added mods that change items and how the player uses them here too:

Pythagoras

This popular mod is for those who love building in Conan Exiles and don’t want to be restricted by the limitations of the base game. The Pythagoras mod allows players to adjust the dimensions of their builds, creating more elaborate structures by using corners and slopes. This mod is brilliant when used alongside the other building mods.

ReCustomize

ReCustomize is really a character mod, but it’s one that lets you change your character’s appearance after the initial creation options. No longer is your character stuck with that awful beard you originally liked and have now grown to hate.

The ReCustomize mod means you can alter your character’s appearance any time you like, and are never bound to one look or set of features.

Craft all the things

This mod eliminates the need to unlock or find crafting recipes and opens all of them from the moment it’s installed. Players will need to find the materials themselves, but the Craft all the things mod lets you plan your build and cosmetics from the start. Once you have the items you need, you can build the item from the recipe.

Increased item stack

The increased item stack mod works very well with the above Craft all the things mod because this one actually gives you the materials you need to craft anything and everything. Conan Exiles vanilla mode limits the items you can hold to 100, but this mod eliminates this, letting you stack up to 1000 items. Trust us, this will be plenty.

Beyond Limits

The Beyond Limits mod offers more customizable character tools that go far beyond what the devs originally planned. This mod allows players to morph their character in freakish and bizarre ways if they wish. They can turn their avatar into a hulking giant, or a Gollum-like creature. The mod pushes the character customization beyond where it’s meant to go, letting players get as creative as they want.

Building Unlimited

This mod allows players to build massive and amazing structures without any limits. What may normally take many hours of farming and resource building is ready to be used.  Players can be as creative as they want, and this mod allows building without any restriction. The only limit is your imagination!

Teleport Stone

The Teleport Stone mod adds a fast travel system to the game not unlike the one that appeared in Dragon’s Dogma. Teleport Stones can be farmed and used to travel instantly to specific locations.

This means players no longer need to die to warp back to their settlements or trudge across dangerous terrain. The main advantage of this mod is the time it saves players traversing the map.

Unlimited Durability

This mod essentially makes weapons and armor indestructible, without ever needing to be repaired or unequipped. While durability is a fun RPG element to some, it’s an annoyance to others. The Unlimited Durability mod means that players no longer need to worry about their items degrading mid-combat. It turns off this element of the game, giving players one less thing to worry about.

Hide Helmet

Players who spent time getting their avatar’s face and hair perfect will appreciate this mod. It allows them to walk around without a helmet, but still feel the benefit of one. Players can still have a helmet equipped, and enjoy the protection and buffs it provides, but won’t have to cover their beautiful faces or extravagant hairstyles. Basically, it makes your helmet invisible.

Mods to improve gameplay:

Now we look at the mods that make the game more enjoyable for everyone, bringing new game play mechanics, items or quests to the game.

Emberlight:

Emberlight was designed for those of us looking for a more immersive role-playing experience, but no matter your preference on role-playing, the mod has tons of exciting features, such as:

• Horticulture
• Animal Husbandry
• Wine Maker
• Sericulture (The production of silk)
• aesthetic customisation’s
• New weapons & legendary weapons
• Craftable armor variants and visually modified clothing
• Additional Items
• Custom Thralls and Emberloot

The world of Conan is already perfect for lovers of RP, but Emberlight adds those extra essential features to really make the RP aspect shine.

Pickup+:

This one has a very simple premise, but it is, in honesty, something that should have been added to the base game by now, the ability to pickup building items you have placed down already.

If you have played Ark Survival Evolved, pickup + is much like the pickup feature built into Ark’s S+ Mod.

It’s very easy to place a building item in the wrong place, yet we can’t do anything other than break them and start again, very annoying when it took some time saving up the materials needed.

With Pickup plus, putting you no longer need to worry about messing up your building in Conan Exiles anymore, simply pick it back up and try again.

Once you are happy with how things have been placed, you can lock them, so they can no longer be picked up. A simple, yet extremely useful mod.

IMMERSE RP : Buildings & Placeables Decor:

I’m starting to feel that this list shows I’m more of a builder than a fighter, but this is one of the Conan Exile mods that really grabbed my attention.

To put it quiet simply, the mod adds some amazing decorative items, which can really make your barbaric garrison much more of a home.

If you are a keen builder, or run a server which has keen builders on it, I strongly recommend giving this one a try.

The thing I love about Immerse RP is just the sheer volume of items added, many of them giving you the ability to simply add minor details to your base, which make a massive difference and make it feel less like an empty shell.

Hopefully we will see more building mods being created for Conan Exiles, as the building is absolutely fantastic in this game, so the ability to have even more freedom to create stunning basis is always a welcomed addition.

The Age of Calamitous

Вступительная заставка долго загружается или тормозит

• Для этого перейдите по адресу «…\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Config» откройте опциональный файл под названием DefaultGame.ini с помощью «Блокнота»;
• Внутри файла нужно найти заголовок /Script/MoviePlayer.MoviePlayerSettings следом для каждой строки, где есть слово SartupMovies нужно изменить знак + (плюс) на – (минус);
• Некоторые пользователи утверждают, что эти строчки также можно удалить, но мы этого делать не рекомендуем, если не хотите случайно вызвать разного рода ошибки.

учтите, что все принятые изменения вернутся в исходное состояние в двух случаях: после обновления или проверке кэша игры

Ошибка DirectX в Conan Exiles

• Первым делом необходимо установить «чистую» версию драйвера вашей видеокарты (то
  есть не стоит сразу спешить устанавливать тот же GeForce Experience, ничего лишнего
  от AMD и аудио).
• При наличии второго монитора попробуйте отключить его, а также отключите G-Sync и
  любые другие виды дополнительных/вспомогательных устройств.
• Воспользуйтесь средством проверки системных файлов для восстановления повреждённых
  или отсутствующих системных файлов.
• В случае если используете видеокарту от Nvidia, тогда попробуйте включить
  
  «Режим
  отладки»
  
  в панели управления видеокартой.

• Часто причиной ошибки служит перегретая видеокарта, поэтому для проверки её
  работоспособности рекомендуем воспользоваться программой

Звук в Conan Exiles отсутствует или пропадает в заставках

• В трее нажмите ПКМ по значку динамика;
• В открывшемся меню необходимо выбрать пункт

Инструкция по установке трейнера

Как правильно распаковать файл?В 95% случаев файлы для игр представлены в формате .RAR или .ZIP. Первые можно скачать и распаковать с помощью триал-версии программы WinRAR. Для этого откройте архив с помощью этой программы с нажмите на кнопку “Извлечь” (“Extract to” в английской версии) и выберите любую папку на жестком диске, но не выбирайте папку с игрой, так как в архиве могут быть вложенные папки, и тогда файл не заработает.Если файл запакован в ZIP-архив, то достаточно будет открыть его через стандартный “Проводник” Windows. Иногда могут встречаться архивы с расширением .7Z, чтобы распаковать их, потребуется загрузить архиватор 7-Zip. Он бесплатный и довольно удобный, и к тому же может работать с .RAR и кучей других, менее популярных типов архивов.Как правильно установить трейнер?Когда вы распаковали архив, найдите его через «Проводник» и просмотрите содержимое папки. Notes[]

• If you have any other active mods, it may crash your game. Remove them and unsubscribe and see if this helps.
• If things do not seem to be working, reset your keybindings.
• When creating a character and spawning in the desert you may start a few meters above ground the first time.
• Suggested: You do not have to unsubscribe to mods unless removing them does not solve crashing the game when it starts the TestLive version of Conan Exiles. So make sure you do not have any active mods when switching from live to TestLive.
• Automatic Downloading of Mods was originally planned to release as the 2018 Halloween event «Night of Lost Souls» ended (November 6).
• Referencing data from other modded tables is currently not implemented.
• There are currently no plans to bring mods to consoles.

Shaved and Oiled

How to install Conan Exiles mods

You can add mods to Conan Exiles by using the Steam Workshop. To get started, download the mods you want to use from the links below. To install multiple mods at once, at them to your Steam Workshop Collection. From here, follow the below instructions:

• Open your game panel in Steam and select the Steam Workshop
• In the new window, search for the mod you want and select the green Install
• The installation process should now begin. Once completed, return to the Steam Workshop
• Restart the application and when you log back in, the mods should now be added to Conan Exiles.

If you’re playing an older version of Conan Exiles and not through Stream, then follow this information here to install mods.

Litman Item Stack & Container Size
