Behind the scenes[]
Bahamut is Director Naoki Yoshida’s favorite summon in both Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy XIV. The design used where the latter Bahamut came down and destroyed the old Final Fantasy XIV and created the new A Realm Reborn was designed after the Final Fantasy VII summon, where he comes down in a meteor and uses Megaflare.
The original Bahamut on whom the elder primal is based on does not appear, but Bahamut was held in high-esteem by his fellow dragons and brood-siblings, with Hraesvelgr calling him a «king amongst wyrms», Nidhogg becoming mistrustful of mortals as a result of Bahamut’s fate, and Tiamat dwelling forever in regret for her mistake in creating the primal that took Bahamut’s form and besmirches his memory.

Introduction
Raids are the core of the endgame, posing the greatest challenges and offering the strongest loot. Unlike dungeons or trials, current-tier raids have limitations on how much loot you can receive per week. These limitations are removed once the raid is old, to make it easier to catch up. Raids are always optional content.
Normal raids are fought by 8 players against a single boss, similar to a trial. Typically, normal raids are released in sets of 4. Each normal raid also has a higher-difficulty equivalent, called a savage raid, which uses the same boss but amps up the mechanics or adds new mechanics to create a fresh challenge. Beginning with Stormblood, some raid tiers are also followed by a single ultimate raid for the best of the best.
Alliance raids are fought by 24 players against a sequence of bosses and mobs, similar to a large-scale dungeon.
Final Fantasy 14
- Могут создавать только 1 персонажа в одном игровом мире (в общей сложности не более 8 персонажей в разных игровых мирах на одном аккаунте);
- Не могут открыть какой-либо класс или профессию выше 60 уровня;
- Не могут носить с собой более 300 тыс. гил (одной суммой);
- Не имеют доступа к таким функциям внутриигрового чата как «Кричать» (Shout) и «Говорить» (Tell);
- Не могут использовать внутриигровой рынок (Market board);
- Не могут обмениваться и торговать предметами с другими игроками;
- Не могут отсылать письма другим игрокам;

- Не могут создавать PvP команды или присоединяться к ним. Также бесплатным учетным записям недоступно участие в рейтинговых и командных рейтинговых PvP сражениях;
Companion.
- Если на вход в выбранный вами мир есть очередь, то приоритет имеют игроки, которые оплатили FFXIV и имеют «полную» учетную запись. Те, кто играет бесплатно, будут ждать дольше, прежде чем попадут в игру;
Characteristics[]
Appearance
Biggs is a Sea Wolf Roegadyn with blond hair, while Wedge is a Plainsfolk Lalafell with brown hair that fades to a more reddish shade at the «stalk». They wear matching engineer outfits, a mostly dark gray and white affair with blue sleeves bearing what is presumably the Garlond Ironworks crest, complete with goggles.
Personality
Wedge is shy and clumsy, often having to be pushed into conversation by the more outspoken Biggs. Wedge loves machines, often naming them and treating them as pets. It is implied that Wedge has a crush on Tataru Taru, but is too shy to express it. Biggs attributes this behavior to a past incident when Wedge was denied getting a dog.
Biggs is more vocal and headstrong than his Lalafell companion. He is more courageous than Wedge ,and Cid even states, if given the choice, Biggs would rather die than be imprisoned by the empire. Biggs teases and chastises Wedge over his cowardice, but will put his life on the line to protect him.
The duo is deeply loyal to Cid Garlond and the Garlond Ironworks. They dutifully work to achieve the Ironwork’s mission to advance technology without serving tyrants.
Alliance raids[]
Alliance raids feature three groups of 8 players for a total of 24 players, navigating large dungeons with 4 bosses. One of the major hurdles for groups participating in this content is coordinating such a large number of players. Spells and abilities that are specified to only affect party-members, such as Medica, will only affect a player’s party of 8 rather than the larger alliance, and players have a more limited interface view of the status of players in other groups.
The Alliance Raid roulette includes all 24-player raids.

History[]
Before Final Fantasy XIV
During the latter days of the Third Astral Era, the Allagan civilization began to go into decline and stagnated. Amon was a skilled technologist and magician in those days, and tried to revitalize the ancient Allag through an unusual plan: by resurrecting the first Allagan Emperor Xande back from the dead to lead his civilization into glory days once again. He exhumed the Emperor from his tomb and, using advanced cloning technology which he had developed, successfully revived Xande. Under the reborn Emperor’s leadership, the empire returned to prosperity and resumed many of his original ambitions from his first life, eventually conquering Meracydia.
Unfortunately, the resurrection had scarred Xande’s soul due to his memory of death. This brooding led to the Emperor making a covenant with the Cloud of Darkness to open a Voidgate and reduce Hydaelyn to nothingness. To accomplish this, he needed extra solar energy collected by Dalamud and its captive Elder Primal channeled to the Syrcus Tower to open the door to the World of Darkness. This proved to be too much for the tower to contain, and the excess energy released triggered a massive earthquake that destroyed the Allagan Empire and ushered in the Fourth Umbral Era.
Prior to the event, Amon was appproached by Emet-Selch who revealed to him that he was the reincarnation of Fandaniel of Amaurot. Emet-Selch convinced Amon to take his place among the Ascians and talked into creating a clone of himself to enter Syrcus Tower in his stead. When the tower sank into the earth as a result of the earthquake, the Amon clone placed himself, Xande, and the tower’s inhabitants in suspended animation until the tower was unearthed when Dalamud fell during the Seventh Umbral Era.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
5,000 years later, while the real Amon continued his role as Fandaniel among the Ascians, the Amon clone awoke with the rest of the Crystal Tower after it was unearthed. He was killed by the Warrior of Light and their friends as part of efforts to stop Xande from destroying the world.
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker
Fandaniel, who had been possessing the body of Asahi sas Brutus, revealed his identity as Amon to the Warrior of Light in Thavnair, and also informed them that despite going by the title of Fandaniel he had always been far more attached to his life as Amon in Allag than his life in Amaurot. He endeavored to bring about the Final Days in order to fulfill Xande’s nihilist desire to destroy the world, because both Xande and Amon had decided life only existed to cause suffering. After Fandaniel was killed by the Warrior of Light, he reverted to being Amon and his soul drifts into the aetherial sea with him challenging Hydaelyn and humanity to prove him wrong.
When the Scions of the Seventh Dawn traversed the aetherial sea to speak with Hydaelyn, they were barred by the soul of Amon. After his final defeat there, he reflected on his original self Hermes’s life and came to doubt his answer that life was only suffering. The soul of Asahi sas Brutus appeared, disgusted at Amon’s lack of convictions, and dragged Amon into oblivion as revenge for using his body and betraying Zenos yae Galvus. As he faded into the darkness, Amon decided that the tale of Hermes ended there, and he would not beg forgiveness for the monster he became.

History[]
Early life
When Midgardsormr and the First Brood arrived on Hydaelyn, the dragons spread across the realm. Bahamut and Tiamat traveled to Meracydia where they created many dragons on the southern continent.
During the Third Astral Era Bahamut fell to the invasion of the Allagan Empire under the reborn Emperor Xande. The Ascians manipulated the grieving Tiamat into summoning him back as a primal—something she regretted as the Dreadwyrm was nothing but a crude imitation. The Ascians aided the Allagans in capturing the primal and entombed him within Dalamud where he remained until Nael van Darnus summoned him back at the Seventh Umbral Calamity.
The Allagans captured Tiamat and many other Meracydians and took them to Azys Lla where they were confined to the Delta Quadrant. Regretting the mistake she made with the Ascians, Tiamat made no effort to break from her bindings in penance even long after Allag fell.
Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward
Midgardsormr meets Tiamat in Azys Lla.
When the Warrior of Light arrives at the Delta Quadrant, Midgardsormr explains that long before Ishgard’s base betrayal, another group of mortals sought to enslave his children with repercussions to this very day. They find the imprisoned Tiamat at the Antithesis who tells her story and how the «dark ones» were manipulating them long ago. She warns that Allag sealed away many primals and explains the key to peace is to eliminate the Ascian threat. Midgardsormr asks if she will finally forgive herself and break free of her bindings, but she does not wish to do so after the mistake she made and remains penitent out of guilt.
Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers
The Warrior of Light, Estinien Wyrmblood, G’raha Tia, Alphinaud and Alisaie Leveilleur visit Tiamat for information about Lunar Bahamut. Tiamat says she did not summon him, before realizing that Meracydian dragons by the Telophoroi have done it. Discovering that Tiamat herself was mildly tempered upon summoning the primal Bahamut, the group convinces her to join their cause while curing her tempering. Alphinaud releases her restraints; now free from Bahamut’s lingering influence and determined to atone for past sins when it means killing those among her children that have mutated beyond restoration by the Allagans’ actions, Tiamat flies to Paglth’an with Estinien in tow to assist the Eorzean Alliance. Tiamat and Estinien engage Lunar Bahamut and ground the primal for the Warrior to finish off. Tiamat thanks the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, pledging that her remaining children will never again be deceived by the Ascians before flying away.

Player Guardian[]
After creating a character and choosing a birth date, players must align to one of the twelve deities. Originally, this slightly raised the character’s elemental resistances based on the element of the chosen deity. As of Patch 4.2, elemental resistance stats were removed, leaving this decision with no in game effect.

World of Warcraft?
