Drops

Loot from a lightning dragon generally depends on the stage of a dragon. All dragons drop either Dragon Scales, a Dragon Heart, and Dragon Flesh or, with a glass bottle, Dragon Blood. A Dragon Skull and Dragon Bones are always dropped. The most important loot a dragon corpse can produce are Dragon Eggs, which can only drop from a female Stage 4-5 dragon. Stage 5 female dragons may occasionally drop 2-3 Dragon Eggs.

Instead of evaporating like normal Minecraft mobs, a dragon will fall to the ground as a corpse when it dies. To loot the dragon corpse, right-click on it repeatedly with an empty hand: items will drop off of it until it turns into a skeleton and, finally, disappears altogether. To obtain dragon blood, right-click the corpse with an empty bottle. Obtaining dragon blood will prevent you from obtaining scales, flesh, or a heart. Make sure to click in the dragon’s hitbox; this is usually located near the middle of the dragon’s body. Newly-hatched dragons evaporate upon death, falling as a skeleton after day 5 and only falling as a corpse after day 10.

Fully grown dragons drop about 46 bones, and either 12 vials of blood or 58 scales.

Ice, Fire, and Lightning Bosses

Note: This is not canon, so don’t except this to be added any
time soon, or at all.

Credit to JustAnotherBoi.exe for the idea of an item that
creates stronger dragons.

This is my interpretation of the ice and fire bosses, as well as
a lightning boss I came up with a while ago.

After entering the dread portal, there is a huge blizzard
surrounding the spawn area. Waves of dread minions come from the
blizzard, with the Dread Queen and Black Frost at the end. The
Dread Queen drops her sword or staff. The staff can summon up to
three random dread minions at once. If the player dies during the
battle, it will be restarted once they enter the portal again.

Trivia

• Like fire dragons and ice dragons, lightning dragons have unique death messages for killing the player; in addition to this, these messages include 2 «mundane» death messages and 1 comical death message.
  • When the player gets killed by the dragon’s grab-and-shake attack, one of the following messages will display:
    • «<playername> was split in two by a dragon»
    • «<playername> was torn to shreds by a dragon»
    • «<playername> was devoured by a dragon»
  • However, there are currently no unique messages that display whenever the player gets killed by the dragon’s electric breath.
• Lightning dragons have much different vocalizations from the other dragons, emitting more high-pitched hisses and trills underlaid with some electric sizzling.

Appearance

The Dread Queen is an undead humanoid creature with a blue pendant hanging over her dark blue-and-black tunic, black gauntlets and boots with grey-blue highlights, white shoulder pads, and a gaunt, grey face with glowing blue eyes peering out from her blue-white crowned helmet. She wields an icy sword with a light blue blade in one hand and an icy staff with a light blue head in the other.

The Dread Queen’s ice dragon, Black Frost, is icy blue in color, and is partially decayed as an indication of her undead nature. Her neck has rotted to the bone, as have parts of her head, tail, and wings; as well as this, her wings are noticeably tattered, and her eyes glow a bright blue in color. She is covered in black armor plating.

In addition to this, she leads a diverse array of undead servants and minions, all of which have unique features:

• Liches are skeletal mages with tattered black robes and glowing blue eyes peering out from a skull-shaped mask covering their face; they wield icy staffs with skulls for heads. Apart from their base characteristics, their hoods and masks come in 5 different variants.
• Thralls are skeletons with glowing blue eyes; many of them wear black, partially weathered body armor and wield broken swords, but some of them wear nothing at all and wield only bones as weapons. Apart from their base characteristics, their chestplates come in 8 different variants.
• Ghouls are zombies with long pants, an emaciated torso with a noticeable spine and ribs, large, curved claws protruding from their fingertips, glowing blue eyes, and large, toothy mouths that gnash constantly. They come in 3 different colors: a grey ghoul with brown pants, a greenish-grey ghoul with black pants, and a light grey ghoul with brown pants.
• Beasts are undead wolf-like creatures with shaggy fur, decaying torsos with a partially exposed spine and ribs, rotting flesh around their beady, glowing blue eyes, and completely decayed, bony snouts with unexplainably intact nose pads. They come in 2 different colors: dark grey and light grey.
• Scuttlers are undead, spider-like arthropods that vaguely resemble a Myrmex; they have hard, chitinous armor, 3 pairs of walking legs, a moderate-sized thorax, a moderate-sized head with 10 glowing blue eyes and large raptorial appendages near the front of their mouth, and a large, bulbous, upwards-facing abdomen. They are dark blue in color, with a lighter blue skull patterning on their abdomen.
• Dread Knights are undead humanoids with dark blue tunics, black gauntlets and boots with grey-blue highlights, black body armor, and a gaunt, grey face with glowing blue eyes peering out from their helmet; as well as this, they wield swords with dark grey blades and white highlights, and they can be seen holding blue shields embroidered with a skull patterning. How to get the mod for PC

Note: Ice and Fire for 1.15.2 requires citadel instead of
llibrary. There is a link to it on the CurseForge page, so you just
need to make sure you’re using the right dependency.

Many people ask this question, so I decided to write this to
provide some assistance. This should work for any mod, not just Ice
and Fire.

Note Pocket (Mobile) and Bedrock (pretty much everything but
Mobile and PC/Mac) Editions are not moddable.

First, you’ll have to buy Minecraft. If you’ve never played it
before, try it without any mods to get used to the game. Ice and
Fire makes it a lot harder.

After you have Minecraft, get Minecraft Forge. You need this for
most mods, because it allows them to work without modifying the

Behavior

Since neither the Dread Queen nor Black Frost have been implemented yet, it is unknown how exactly they will behave. However, it is likely that they will be hostile towards any non-Dread mob that comes nearby, including players and living dragons; as well as this, they will likely be able to spot targets from 128 blocks away.

Servants

The Dread Queen has many different minions to fight for her, each with its own unique abilities:

Liches

Liches are powerful, undead necromancers that can raise the dead, and are the Dread Queen’s main servant. When attacking, Liches will usually fire glowing blue skull-like projectiles at their targets; however, they are also known to summon minions, either by raising their arms and casting a summoning spell or by killing specific mobs. A Lich can summon up to a maximum of 5 minions with its summoning spell, and will otherwise rely on killing mobs in order to expand their patrols. Liches can summon the following minions:

• Thralls are weak, slow-moving skeletons that serve as the Liches’ most basic combat unit, and spawn from skeletons killed by the Liches. Thralls are only capable of slowly towards their targets and striking at them with the bones in their hands, dealing 1 heart (2 HP) of damage with each strike; occasionally, they may wield broken swords, allowing them to deal 3 hearts (6 HP) of damage. Unlike regular skeletons, Thralls will not burn up when exposed to sunlight.
• Ghouls are fast-moving zombies that spawn from most humanoid creatures killed by the Liches. Ghouls will attack targets by sprinting towards them and swiping at them with their claws twice in a row, dealing 2.5 hearts (5 HP) with each swipe.
• Beasts are wolf-like monsters that spawn from most animals killed by the Liches. Beasts will attack targets by rapidly bounding towards them and taking a bite out of them, dealing 2 hearts (4 HP) of damage with each bite.
• Scuttlers are spider-like monsters that spawn from arthropods killed by the Liches. Scuttlers will attack targets by crawling towards them and biting them with their raptorial appendages, dealing 3.5 hearts (7 HP) with each bite; while attacking, they may also climb walls in order to reliably catch up to players.

Dread Knights

Dread Knights are heavily-armored undead knights that serve as the Liches’ bodyguards. Dread Knights have a fighting style similar to that of a Thrall, walking towards their target and striking at them with their swords; however, they move at a slightly quicker pace than Thralls, and their pristine swords allow them to deal 9 hearts (18 HP) of damage with each strike, being capable of killing a player wearing iron armor in 2 or 3 hits. As well as this, they are known to mount armor-covered skeleton horses, which allow them to move much more quickly and erratically than they usually do; in fact, they will immediately mount said horses if they are nearby, causing them to become more dangerous in a matter of seconds.

Cave appearance

Stage 4 Red Fire Dragon

Fire dragons are large, quadrupedal reptiles with massive, leathery, bat-like wings, powerful hind legs with 3 prehensile, talon-tipped toes on each foot, a moderate-sized body with spikes running down their backs, a moderately long neck, a large head with 2 pairs of backward-facing horns as well as massive, toothy jaws, and a long, tapering tail just as long as the rest of their body. Male fire dragons differ from females by having darker-colored spots on their wings, while females differ from males by having curvier horns. although this difference is only present in more recent versions. Fire dragons come in 4 colors: Fiery Red, Emerald Green, Gold Yellow, and Smoky Black. Dragons grow from 2 blocks long at 0 days old to 50 blocks long when fully grown.

Game Crash, Modifying Config Files, Changing Spawn Rates, Suggestions, Updates and development questions

I need help!

You can join the discord for faster responses to questions. Crash logs should be posted to the issues github so they can be fixed by the development team.

Before you write a new issue, you should be able to see if a similar issue has been posted. If there has, there is no need for you to make a new issue. Doing so makes it take longer for the dev to work on the ice & fire mod. However if the issue has not already been reported, please make the report as it tells the dev what is going wrong.

You should post a copy of your crashlog, which you can find using this guide, and copy-and paste it into your report. Here is an example of a good crash report.

If you feel like there might be a mod conflict, you should include what mod-pack you are using.

Will you add X mob to 1.12.2?

The hydra was the last major update for 1.12.2. The Dread Queen, which was delayed, and all other phase 2 mobs will be for minecraft versions above 1.12.2. Currently, ice & fire is regularly updating to minecraft versions 1.16.3 & 1.15.2.

We do not answer ETA(s). Out of respect for the development team you should not be asking this question, the updates come when they come out.

Can I disable, modify, or change (griefing, hatch time, spawning etc)?

Modify the mod’s config. It should be under Mod options > ice and fire. Here is a tutorial on how to do that. <— Only works for 1.12.2.

That’s not a dragon, that’s a wyvern!

The development team has decided to call their creations a dragon, and out of respect for them you should leave it be. If you want to debate about it, there are other communities for that. Ice & fire for modded minecraft is not one of them.

How to install Ice and Fire Mod

Ice and Fire aims to bring a revolutionary experience of dragons to Minecraft players. This modification allows role players and mod makers to access all the basic and advanced needs of a dragon hunter and a tamer role.

To install this great modification to Minecraft, you just have to follow the following steps that we will show next:

1. Mainly as in the rest of the Minecraft mods, make sure you have downloaded Minecraft Forge Mod before, in this case version 1.15
2. After that, download and install LLibrary version 1.15.
3. Now download the Ice and Fire 1.14 mod
4. You must click on the file you have downloaded from Forge to start the Ice and Fire installer
5. Copy and paste the file you have downloaded from Library into the folder where your .minecraft / mods is located
6. Do the same steps but with the file you have downloaded from the mod in the same folder as .minecraft / mods

If you have followed these steps as we have just explained, you can go to look for dragons in Minecraft, although we recommend that you go well prepared and equipped.

Everfrost

A small stage one silver ice dragon was walking in the
snowstorm. It was trying to get away from the stage five fire
dragon that had just ripped its way into this dragons home. It had
eaten its parents, they were only early stage four ice dragons.
This small ice dragons name was Everfrost. The fire dragon was
flying above the clouds. It was waiting for the storm to end so it
could look for any survivors of its attack. Ever frost was wounded
though, when the fire dragon had gotten into the caveren it shot
lots of fire. Everfrost had been hit by some of this fire. Then
everfrost saw a cave. Mabye he could hide in there? He walked

Astral dragon

The astral dragon is a unique dragon that has the power of the
stars flowing from it. Its roar does not inflict weakness onto a
player but causes the dragon to emit a pulse that will blind nearby
players with its starlight. This attack an be seen when the
constellations on the dragons body start to glow brightly and it
will rear onto its hind legs and emit its blind pulse. The dragon’s
breath weapon is altered due to the nature of its starlight,
instead of the chaotic and random blasts of normal dragons, astral
dragons fire a powerful ray of concentrated starlight, this ray
resembles a beacon beam. The dragon can also shoot a bright ball of
energy that resembles a small supernova, this ball will turn the
area it strikes into lava while dea…

Ice and fire fan dragon

My idea was to create a new dimension that is an opposite to the
dreadlands and the travel mechanic relies on dragons. The dragon I
propose is the astral dragon, a mighty beast who fire burns so
bright it melts stone into lava. These dragons spawn when you find
a new structure called an altar of combat. You must bring an
offering to the alter and depending on what you bring a different
stage astral dragon will spawn in the form of a star falling to
earth. If you manage to slay this beast you will find that rewards
will have appeared in the astral chest back at the altar of combat.
These rewards will range from astral stone to an astral dragon egg

Приручение

Гиппогрифы могут быть приручены крольчьими лапками. Что бы приручить гиппогрифа, всего нужно

кинуть ему 3-7 кроличьих лапок, и когда он съест угощение процесс приручения начнётся сам;

однако, если гиппогриф будет летать в воздухе, рекомендуется проявить терпение и следить за гиппогрифом,

пока он не преземлится. Когда зверь будет приручён, он ляжет на живот. На прирученного гиппогрифа можно

надеть седло, сундук, и броню. Наряду с этим, им можно отдать команду юродить или сидеть, взаимодействуя

с ними, держа в руке палку; обратите внимание, что когда им отдана команда бродить, они могут взлететь

по желанию. К счастью, флейта из кости дракона может быть использована, чтобы приказать любому гиппогрифу

приземлиться. В дополнению к этому, прирученные гиппогрифы атакуют мобов и игроков, которые атакуют его

Два гиппогрифа могут быть спарены, если накормить их тушёным кроликом. Они начнут размножаться в манере

других ванильных животных. Разведение двух гиппогрифов даст яйцо.

Если бросить яйцо, из него вылупится гиппогриф. Малышу гиппогрифа требуется 1 день, чтобы достичь совершеннолетия.

Drops

Loot from a fire dragon generally depends on the stage of a dragon. All dragons drop either Dragon Scales, a Dragon Heart, and Dragon Flesh or, with a glass bottle, Dragon Blood. A Dragon Skull and Dragon Bones are always dropped. The most important loot a dragon corpse can produce are Dragon Eggs, which can only drop from a female Stage 4-5 dragon. Stage 5 female dragons may occasionally drop 2 or even 3 Dragon Eggs.

Instead of evaporating like normal Minecraft mobs, a dragon will fall to the ground as a corpse when it dies. To loot the dragon corpse, right-click on it repeatedly with an empty hand: items will drop off of it until it turns into a skeleton and, finally, disappears altogether. To obtain dragon blood, right-click the corpse with an empty bottle. Obtaining dragon blood will prevent you from obtaining scales, flesh, a heart, or eggs. Make sure to click in the dragon’s hitbox; this is usually located near the middle of the dragon’s body. Newly-hatched dragons evaporate upon death, falling as a skeleton after day 5 and only falling as a corpse after day 10.

Fully grown dragons drop about 46 bones, and either 12 vials of blood or 58 scales.

How to escape dragons

In early game, dragons are just NIGHTMARES to try to kill or
escape. I have been killed by dragons in Minecraft ALOT. But I
figured out a way to escape dragons and kill them in early game.
The thing that helps you do this is from Lycanites Mobs mod so you
have to download that to.

This master weapon is… a Uva raptor. They have 30 health. You may
ask «How is something that has less health than a hippogryph going
to be able to escape a dragon in quick enough time that it does not
get turned to DUST by a dragon?!?» Well the key is… its speed.
ITS SPEED IS SO OVERPOWERED!!! Also theres a weird glitch that
makes the Uva raptor Jump like thousands of blocks… The way you
kill a dragon with this is just use a bow while rounding the
