Agents of Mayhem (2017)

Наконец, последняя игра из серии Saints Row получила совершенно иное название. Но технически относится к франшизе: сюжет Agents of Mayhem основан на одной из концовок аддона Gat out of Hell.

Главные герои – члены организации M.A.Y.H.E.M., которые сражаются со злодейской группировкой L.E.G.I.O.N. в футуристическом Сеуле. Разработчики решили отойти от своей главной линейки и сделать что-то новое, реализовать свежие идеи и опробовать инновационные механики.

Увы, при неплохом сюжете, Agents of Mayhem больше ничем не могла порадовать. Геймплей – стандартные пострелушки в безликом, безжизненном городе. Персонажи – колоритные, со сверхспособностями, но играть за них было скучно.

В игру так и напрашивался кооператив (на миссии можно было брать до трех героев и переключаться между ними в любой момент), но по какой-то причине его не было. Да и юмора стало поменьше, а сумасшествия – и подавно. Как итог – звание «крепкого середнячка» и финансовый провал.

Multiplayer

• Improvements to the way the game handles packet loss and bandwidth management between players. This addresses issues commonly cited as «lag», and general synchronization problems between the players’ clients (vehicles/players warping around, etc).
• Various bandwidth optimizations.
• Fixed connection issues with gang servers (done server-side, update not required).
• The system for rating a player’s quality-of-service has been improved, and made less conservative. This means you’ll see many more matches with 10-12 player limits.
• Fixed «clothes stealing» exploit. Stolen clothes will be deleted, legit clothes will be unharmed.
• Various changes to Matchmaking phase, to get players in the game faster.
• Team-based, non-Gang games are now required to have even teams. Gang matches still allowed to be off-by-one to allow easier matchmaking, since single people cannot be matched-in.

3 марта 2012 года, Volition анонсировали дополнение к Saints Row: The Third, озаглавленное Enter the Dominatrix, действия которого разворачивались спустя год после окончания событий в триквеле. Игровой процесс

Лин водит белый Voxel с синей полосой по центру, он будет доступен в гараже после выполнения финальной миссии сюжетной линии Westside Rollerz. Лин не может быть вызвана в качестве братка, но игроки могут преследовать её во время миссии «Ангел-Хранитель», когда она пытается скрыться с Донни на своей машине. Missions

Missions provide the narrative of Saints Row: The Third. For the first time in the series, Respect is no longer needed to progress through the storyline.

Characters

A large cast of characters provide the driving force of the narrative of Saints Row: The Third. Both old and new characters are introduced.

Activities

Main article: Activities and Diversions in Saints Row: The Third

Activities award both unique rewards and Respect, a form of currency which is used to make various Upgrades, which are then bought using money.

Completing activities also results in «owning» the surrounding territory, which increases City Income.

Diversions return in Saints Row: The Third, such as diving off a building with a parachute.

Weapons

Main article: Weapons in Saints Row: The Third

Weapons allow the player to engage enemies in combat, both offensively and defensively. Unlike the previous games, weapons can now be upgraded.

Vehicles

Vehicles allow the player to travel across the city of Steelport with efficiency. To aid in this, there is a large variety of vehicles, including cars, boats, planes, helicopters, tanks, VTOLs, and even hoverbikes.

Biography[]

Saints Row

Dex was one of the people affected by gang violence spreading throughout Stilwater and thus joined the gang formed by Julius Little, the 3rd Street Saints, to rid the city of its chaotic state. Dex appeared to be the voice of reason amongst Little’s lieutenants. Dex is a superb tactician, but talk amongst the generic Saints gang members that wander the streets indicate that few Saints believe that Dex deserved his post and there was concern that Dex might have eventually challenged Julius Little for control of the gang.

Saints Row 2

Before Playa was blown up on Alderman Richard Hughes’ boat, Dex dropped his flags after he was offered a job in Ultor by Dane Vogel at the Saints’ church. He called Troy Bradshaw after this happened to say that he knew Troy was a cop and that he was out of the Saints, and wanted to make sure he and Troy wouldn’t have a problem, due to Troy being able to arrest him.

Playa visits the police station and listens to the conversations that were taped. He finds out that it was Julius who put the bomb on Alderman’s boat. He also finds Dex’s file containing his phone number. Playa calls Dex and he tells Playa to come meet him at the church so that they can get rid of Julius. However, this ends up being a trap set up by Dex and instead of Dex, Julius shows up. After a conflict between Julius and Playa, a smoke bomb is thrown through the church’s window. Masako agents sent by Dex attack the two, who ally briefly to escape.

Corporate Warfare

Some time after, Eric Gryphon, Ultor’s new CEO, visited the Saints, telling them that he wanted protection from the Masako who were sent by Dex to kill Gryphon. Playa successfully protected Gryphon from Dex’s assassination attempt. After this Gryphon and Dex met in front of the Phillips Building and talked about Dex’s attempt.

Then Gryphon informs Playa that Dex is selling toxic waste to illegal buyers. Playa, with help from Ultor security, succeeds in stopping Dex’s plan. Dex felt the heat closing in on him and asked for an immediate transfer to another Ultor branch.

Gryphon again informs Playa that Dex has fled and that he couldn’t do anything. However, Playa still wants to hurt Dex, so Gryphon comes up with a plan. While Gryphon is standing on the lighthouse identifying Dex’s acquaintances walking around, Playa kills them. After this, Playa says he will find out which city Dex fled to and get him.

Saints Row: Money Shot

Dex’s days of hiding have finally come to an end. After deducing his present location, Ultor dispatches a professional female assassin named Cypher to take him out. Using some very sophisticated sniper technology, Cypher makes her move on Dex in the midst of his big corporate birthday party, swiftly disposing of him with a bullet to the head.

Dex is already dead, and can be killed by Johnny Gat or Kinzie Kensington during their attack on Hell.

Dex resembles a normal undead Civilian wearing Dex’s hat, and randomly spawns around New Hades and appears on the minimap. The «Revenge» Diversion requires killing him 7 times.

The first few times he spawns, Dex is unarmed and alone. After that, he has a firearm and demon allies, starting with Imps and getting stronger demons with each kill. After being killed 6 times, he spawns with 2 Legionnaires. After being killed the 7th time, this resets and Dex goes back to spawning alone and unarmed, and he continues to spawn indefinitely, with the upgrade cycle repeating.

He only receives additional firepower and allies when he is killed. If his demon followers are killed but he is left alive, he does not upgrade his followers.[details?]

Killing Dex’s Legionnaires is an easy way to get the «Kill Legionnaires» challenge, but he may spawn with his extra demons at an inconvenient time. At max Notoriety when an Archduke spawns, Dex is removed along with all the other demons.

In the Shawarma cutscene after completing City Takeover, Dex is in the fetal position, still being tormented.

Demo[]

Prior to the retail version of Saints Row being released, the demo set an Xbox Live Marketplace then-record for being downloaded more than 350,000 times in the first week of its release.

The demo was released in several forms: Xbox Live, Xbox Magazine #61 demo disc, and a standalone demo disc given to people who pre-ordered at ToysRus and Gamestop.

All version of the demo have exactly the same content: the packfiles are identical. However, the main executable file in the 3 versions are different, with the XBL and XBM versions having the fewest differences, and the pre-order version having additional differences.

Игровой процесс скопирован с серии игр Grand Theft Auto. В отличие от игр серии GTA, главный герой — это не определённый человек, а свободно настраиваемый, то есть по ходу игры можете изменить пол, расу, телосложение, внешность героя в специальной пластической хирургии. По ходу игры можно купить тот или иной магазин, который будет приносить прибыль (забрать её можно будет в жилище). Также в игре присутствуют различные хулиганства, подработки и трюки, за которые дается авторитет, необходимый для выполнения миссий. Подработки тоже весьма интересные и зачастую смешные. Также в игре присутствует совместное прохождение кампании (до 2-х игроков) и многопользовательский режим.

• There is no Cheat for this vehicle in any game.
• This vehicle resembles the Smart ForTwo, Toyota Scion iQ and Chevrolet Spark but the front resembles the Aston Martin Cygnet and Kia Picanto.
• There is a Challenge to destroy 50 Emus, by Oleg, due to the «impracticality» of the size. The Tank Mayhem challenges, especially the Hard instance, is one good way to destroy Emus.
• It is the only vehicle that can fit in elevators, such as inside the Saints HQ.
• The Emu is based on the Halberd.
• Mascots use the Emu in the Survival round at Let’s Pretend, along with the Widowmaker and Knoxville.
• Emu appears in Mayhem in Saints Row: Gat out of Hell, both in the tutorial cutscene, and in gameplay. Its display name is Demon.

3rd Street Saints[]

Troy, Johnny Gat, Julius Little, Lin and Dex Jackson.

The 3rd Street Saints begin as a minor element in Stilwater’s current war for territory amongst its major gang factions: the Vice Kings, the Westside Rollerz and Los Carnales. Over the course of gameplay, the Saints become the most powerful organized gang in the city.

• Julius Little is the leader of the 3rd Street Saints. He recruits Playa during an altercation in Saints Row involving all three of Stilwater’s prominent gang figures.
• Troy is Julius’s second-in-command. Troy always seems to make critical information available to the Saints whenever it is time for Playa to make a move against a rival gang.
• Johnny Gat is a brash, hot-headed Saints lieutenant. After the reclamation of Saints Row, Gat takes on the responsibility of dealing with the Vice Kings after Troy declines the assignment[mission/cutscene?]. Johnny also has a torrid, on again/off again relationship with local R&B diva, Aisha[mission/cutscene?]. Gat’s strategies typically involve massive amounts of bloodshed and extensive property damage.[mission/cutscene?]
• Dex is the voice of reason amongst Little’s lieutenants. Dex is a superb tactician. Dex is very sensitive about incorrect grammar when saying «The Los Carnales»[mission/cutscene?].
• Lin is the sole female lieutenant in the Saints. She is the self-titled «best racer to ever come out of Chinatown»[mission/cutscene?] and her pride and joy is her customized Voxel. Julius Little assigns Lin the task of infiltrating the Westside Rollerz organization in an effort to gain more insight on how the Rollerz operate.

Vice Kings[]

Tanya, Warren, King and Green

The Vice Kings began as an organization formed by Benjamin King in the Sunnyvale Gardens neighborhood of the Projects District, to counterbalance the might of Los Carnales. In present-day Stilwater, the VK’s serve as little more than the private security force that serves to safeguard King’s personal dynasty.

The VK’s came into conflict with the 3rd Street Saints when Tanya Winters resorts to abduction in order to get new «talent» for her Prawn Court brothel and the VK’s have the misfortune of unknowingly kidnapping the sister of R&B diva, Aisha.[mission/cutscene?]

• Benjamin King is the founder of the Vice Kings.[mission/cutscene?] King formed the VK’s in order to protect the Projects District from Los Carnales[reference?]. King is a childhood friend of Julius Little and remarks that Julius is following in King’s path, even to the point of recycling King’s old rally speeches[mission/cutscene?]. Benjamin King formed a financial empire with Kingdom Come Records serving as the crown jewel.
• Warren Williams is the Chief Operating Officer of Kingdom Come Records, serves as second-in-command to Benjamin King, and also manages the illegal gambling side of the VK business portfolio. Warren is referred to by Johnny Gat as «the numbers guy». One of the stronghold missions suggests that the VK’s supplement their income by rigging sporting events.
• Anthony «Big Tony» Green is the VK’s enforcer. Tony is Tanya Winters’ primary lover. He is loyal to Benjamin King to a fault, and he appears to be the only VK member that King openly respects.
• Tanya Winters is a VK lieutenant, her primary responsibility is managing the VK brothel located in Prawn Court. The spark that ignites the conflict between the VK’s and the Saints arguably is Tanya’s unwitting abduction of the younger sister of R&B diva, Aisha, to serve in her brothel.
• Levar is a member of the Vice Kings who is killed by Los Carnales members doing a Drive-by, shortly after he sprayed over a Westside Rollerz Gang Tag. Had he not sprayed over the Gang Tag, Playa would not have been caught in the resulting crossfire and may never have joined the Saints.
